Illegal Immigrants And The United States - 1594 Words
Furthermore, the proper outlook here is one where we acknowledge that we have these potentially undocumented individuals living and working in the United States, and they arenââ¬â¢t going be be removed all at once, so while these individuals are here, why not give them the necessary tools and programs to allow them to function as productive members of society without restriction. In many of our readings, weââ¬â¢ve witnessed legislation that has also played a role in the deterred success of illegal immigrants and those here legally. Legislation such as barring immigrants from being able to acquire driving license or being able to receive healthcare benefits are laws that not only hurt the immigrant population, but also the American population.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦communities across the nation as they seek to improve their own lives. Denying aâ⬠¨significant proportion of immigrants the ability to access a driverââ¬â¢s license undercuts the real and potential bene fits that an immigrant population offers.â⬠Outside of the metropolitan areas all around the United States, you have members of the iliac immigrant population who are unable to get drivers license, but the reside in places where there is little to no access to public transportation. Here you have not only economic strife for the immigrant population, but also a great risk of danger to the population as a whole due to those who drive cars without the proper instruction and documentation. One major conclusion that can be drawn from the abuse that illegal immigrants face on a social level could be related to the notion of how they are treated and regarded in legally standings. To a degree, government and law are the entities that set the larger example for how we are to conduct ourselves as citizens of the United States, and when we look to the government and see the laws we have against immigrants coming to this country, its not an example of respect and fair treatment. In connec tion with the issues that day laborers face on the job, there are many issues that they are presented with even before being hired.
